Monday, August 19 Rogue Valley Zipline Adventures Central Point, Oregon

I arrived at Rogue Valley Zipline Adventures about 8:15 A.M. I was able to talk to Lindsey, the owner along with her husband, Jason, and she booked me for a 9:30 A.M. tour.

We began with a van drive to where we would dress and zip. We stopped along the way to see the Historic Braden Gold Mine

The tour began with a 300 ft walk up to the first zipline, however, this course is ADA friendly, so they have a dirt taxi that will drive those with difficulty walking, up the hill. They are even able to take those in wheelchairs zipping!

The lines and views were awesome. The longest line was 1384.

My wonderful guides were Kevin and John.

5 lines in the Rogue Valley, with a 1384 ft longest line

We finished the tour and the van drove us back to Gold Hill, arriving about 1:30.

Sunday, August 18 Driving through Oregon

I had made it to the Oregon border on Saturday night, so today I spent all day driving through the state.

It was a gorgeous drive past Alkali Lake and Lake Albert. (pics later)

I arrived in Gold Hill about 5:00 P.M. and located Rogue Valley Zipline Adventures.

I then found a place to stay.

Saturday, August 17 Tamarack Resort and Tamarack Zipline

I arrived at the Tamarack Resort on Friday night. It was is a gorgeous place with beautiful homes and a lodge. I met David who was able to get me a room in the lodge for the night. I wasn't ziplining until 3:00 P.M. on Saturday so I had plenty of time to enjoy my stay.

The lodge is beautiful with very nice, spacious rooms. I ordered a nice meal and ate on the deck with its view of the golf course and Lake Cascade. I loved the mountains all around.

I slept well!

There are many vacation home rentals of all sizes in the resort, as weel as, the lodge. No camping.

During the summer, there is golf, mountain bike trails, hiking trails, ziplining, SUP, whitewater rafting, frisbee golf, bicycle and kayak rentals. In winter there is skiing and other winter sports.

The zipline was within walking distance of the lodge.

The tour began at 3:00 with a van ride up to the top. We then zipped down 6 lines. The views were absolutely wonderful. I could see Lake Cascade with the mountains around it. I was zipping through beautiful spruce trees.

My wonderful guides were Kodi, Nick and Danny...thanks for a wonderful tour guys!

Friday August 16 Zip Idaho in Horseshoe Bend, Idaho

I spent the night in Horseshoe Bend at a beautiful spot on the Payette River.

I had spoken to the owner, Eric, the day before and was able to book an 11 A.M. tour.

We began with a 20 minute van ride up a mountain, about 9 miles north of town. The ride was great one in which we saw a lot of the land. We had a small snag at one point when we discovered a tree had fallen across the road, but our awesome guides, Chris and Cody were able to put a strap on it and pull it out of the way with the van. We arrived at the top and zipped 6 great lines. One line was 2038 feet long and the fastest one was about 55 mph.

The tour is 3 - 3.5 hours.

Will add more later, but the pictures really tell the story!
