Wednesday July 17 Ozark Mountain Zipline

I drove down to Eureka Springs, Arkansas to another zipline owned by Robert Nichols. He also trains many of the guides and inspects ziplines all over the states.

Robert had called Will and Kendra, who co-own and manage Ozark Mountains Zipline, and set up a 4:00 P.M. zip for me, however just after 3:30 it started raining hard. Zipping is OK in the rain, but it started thundering and lightning, so that canceled that! Don't want to be on a steel cable in the treetops during a lightning storm!

So, Kendra rescheduled me for a 9:00 A.M. tour.

I got back to OMZ about 8:00 A.M. and had a great 10 line tour through the beautiful Ozark Mountains. My great guides were Corey and Brian who kept us safe and entertained!

Tuesday July 16 Zipline USA

I checked out of my hotel early and drove to Reeds Spring where I visited Zipline USA owned by Robert and Joanna Nickell.

Robert Nickell began the zipline craze when he started building ziplines in Costa Rica in the '80s. I will write more on him and the history of ziplining later. Really enjoyed meeting him and Joanna. He has also built many of the courses in the states.

His courses are always great with very little walking.

Thoroughly enjoyed zipping the 12 lines of his canopy tour with my awesome guides Derek and Zane.

Monday July 15 Branson Zipline and Canopy Tour

Great time at Branson Zipline and Canopy Tour at Wolfe Creek! Loved the tour with my wonderful guides, Travis and Robert! Beautiful views of the Ozark Mountains through a nice canopy!

The tour began with a ride to the top of Wolfe Mountain in a Pinzgauer Swiss Army jeep.

I did the Canopy Adventure Combo that has 8 ziplines and 10 sky bridges.

One of the lines is the Blue Streak Fast Line; long and fast

I also did the Freefall Xpress in which I jumped off a 100 foot tower. It gives a real adrenaline rush! A line stops you just before you hit the ground!

Located 7 miles North of Branson.

Sunday July 14 Vigilante Extreme ZipRider

I had ridden the Vigilante Extreme ZipRider before and written about it in Never Too Old For Adventure, but I wanted to include it in this trip also, so I drove over to it. It is at Shepherd of the Hills in Branson.

The Vigilante launches from the top of Inspiration Tower which is 230 ft high and sits on one of the highest points in SW Missouri. The rider is seated in a special harness and rides at speeds up to 50 mph.

Sunday July 14 Adventure Ziplines of Branson

I first visited Adventure Ziplines of Branson, and they had a tour just going out that I could get on. It was a 7 line tour with 3 swinging rope bridges and a couple of tall towers to climb. Thery have about 2 miles of cable a views from 70 feet up. Their fastest line reaches 50 miles per hour. A great tour with my wonderful guides, Dylan and Trenton.

Saturday July 13 All American Inn

I drove to Branson and was able to find a very nice hotel for 3 nights at a reasonable price. I was ready for a hot shower and a nice bed, as well as, wifi so I could hopefully catch up on my blog and make changes to my website.

I stopped by Branson Ziplines in Walnut Shade and left my card before checking in at the All American Inn.
